Jovan Srdanov - Gvozden

J.S.Gvozden is a Sydney architect, painter, photographer and limo driver. For the last 20 years, he has observed, documented and expressed his view of Sydney and its people through photographic images, sketchbooks, video clips, paintings and drawings.
Focusing on daily rhythm, habits and rituals of Sydney inhabitants and city ever changing fabric, Gvozden explores the meaning of life in general.
His vision of a vibrant city and people living there is optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. Despite of all richness and beauty given to lucky five million people, layers of sadness and life not lived in full are all around. His works send a warning via often present boxed figures, representing individuals with all their potential imaginable, but restrained in boxes well before it is the time for that.

Svetlana Lukovic - Cecilia

Being a linguist, a writer and a visual artist, Cecilia combines written words from her stories and poetic expressions with visual art trough magical drawings, paintings and watercolours using both traditional techniques and modern digital media.

"I have always loved colours  and shapes, trees and flowers, books and the magic of art. Art has always attracted me and any regrets for not following a career of an artist or an architect have been deeply hidden. Once I saw David Hockney creating his wonderful art with iPhone, and iPad, I felt inspired to start drawing and expressing my words and thoughts into images"
